Claire
had two major sights on her list when she arrived in NYC. One was the
Bronx zoo, where she spotted the...

bears cooling off in thier pool. After the bears, the priority became
the giraffes.

After
the giraffes, the monkeys were next, but you aren't going to see
any pictures of them here. We can only keep this webspace if we
keep it clean.

Dini
couldn't believe how well prepared Sue was. In her fanny pack, there
was a sucker to use as a bribe to get Claire in the stroller, Bandaids
for Claires skinned knee, sunscreen, bug repellent, and snacks for Sue
and Dini

It
turned out that our favorite exhibit at the zoo wasn't the lion, or
tigers or bears (or the monkeys, even with the extra special show they
put on). It was the butterflies.

Claire
was fascinated, and that's prettty impressive since she was also exhausted.

There
were about ten of these peek through picture panels, and Claire had to
try them all. Trying them included having someone snap her picture...
good thing we have a digital camera.

After
the photo op's we stopped at the rubber stamp station. Of course each
stamp had to be applied, and there were only about twenty of them.

I said Claire knew the two must see spots in NYC. One was the Bronx zoo,
and the other was our pink and maroon art deco, 50's retro bathroom.

We
had walked down the street to the ice cream shop. I bet you can guess
what flavor Claire had.

You
should always brush after eating. You wouldn't want any seeds to
get stuck between your teeth and sprout.
